FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025 – Cloud automation with your own brain, not someone else’s prompt.

🧭 FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025 – Built by Humans. Enhanced by AI. Guided by Understanding.

The FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025 – Why It Still Matters in the AI Era

FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025 is our renewed declaration of how we approach cloud automation in the AI era.

In 2018, we published the original FoggyKitchen Manifesto — our declaration that Infrastructure as Code should be crafted like recipes: repeatable, scalable, and deeply understood.
Seven years later, the world has changed. AI writes Terraform, multicloud is the new normal, and DevOps has entered the age of prompts. But our philosophy remains exactly the same.

At FoggyKitchen, we still believe in craftsmanship before automation — in understanding the “why” before running the “apply.” We teach cloud automation the right way — with your own brain, not someone else’s prompt.

In the age of automation, the real skill isn’t writing code faster — it’s understanding what the code truly builds. The FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025 is our reminder that knowledge, patience, and craft are what keep engineers relevant, even when AI accelerates everything around them.

We’re not against AI — we’re guided by it, as long as it enhances human thinking rather than replacing it.
That’s why this Manifesto is both a declaration and an invitation: to keep learning, designing, and building with purpose.

☁️ Why We Still Cook

Infrastructure today is faster, smarter, and more automated than ever. AI can generate modules, YAMLs, and even predict deployment patterns. But true architecture still begins in the human mind. This new edition of the FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025 explores how AI changes our approach to Infrastructure as Code — but not our principles.

You can ask an AI to “deploy a private AKS cluster with three node pools,” but if you don’t understand networking, routing, identity, or cost implications — you’re not automating; you’re gambling.

At FoggyKitchen, we use AI as a helpful sous-chef, not as the chef itself. Because clarity, structure, and judgment are still human skills.

🧠 What We Stand For

Behind every command, every deployment, and every course we create — there’s a philosophy. It’s not about speed or hype, but about clarity, respect for craft, and curiosity that drives real understanding:

  • Understanding before execution.
AI can build, but only you can explain why it works.
  • Transparency over black boxes.
Every line of code is visible, reproducible, and documented.

  • Discipline and consistency.
Infrastructure is engineering — but with taste.

  • Cross-cloud curiosity.
OCI, Azure, GCP — the ingredients differ, the recipe stays the same.

🔧 What We Build

We publish hands-on courses and open GitHub modules that connect platforms, generations, and learning styles.
Each tutorial, diagram, and lesson is designed to help you think like an engineer, not just copy snippets.

From OCI and Azure to GCP and beyond — our mission is to make cloud automation understandable, repeatable, and beautifully human.

❤️ Our Promise (Reaffirmed)

We remain human-first. No vendor scripts. No AI-generated fluff. No paid reviews. Just real infrastructure — planned, coded, and explained by engineers who still believe that doing things right matters.

So grab your apron again. Use AI as your assistant — but keep the recipe in your own hands. Because in the fog of automation, clarity still comes from understanding.

Whether you’ve followed us since 2018 or just discovered the FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025, this post captures what FoggyKitchen stands for in the AI-driven DevOps world. In a world of automation, attention and craft are the real competitive advantages.

The FoggyKitchen Manifesto 2025 reminds us that AI may accelerate our tools, but mastery still comes from patience, structure, and curiosity.

The manifesto is not just a statement — it’s an invitation. To slow down. To understand. And to keep learning how to automate the right way.
